TRANSCRIPT OF INTRO VIDEO

KRIS: We are going to start the Quick & Dirty Craft Workshops with Smell and Taste. Those two things are intertwined.

Dean kept saying to me, "You're going to teach them separately?"

I'm like, "No, I don't want to teach them separately."

I want to teach them together and I have a reason for that.

I have assignments that I want you to do.

Why am I doing smell and taste and not sight, sound, and touch?

You guys, you have no trouble writing sight. And most people have no trouble writing sound.  But smell and taste? Almost everybody in the beginning has trouble with that.

In fact, to the point where I'm reading tons of stories as people start to realize they need to put in all the five senses. Where somebody's walking down the street and he's going, *mouth smacking* "Oh yeah, that's that thing I had for breakfast."

And then they describe what they ate for breakfast because the taste is—

Do you guys think like that?

I don't think like that. Most people don't think like that.

So we will talk about how you can actually do it without doing that silly thing and several other silly things.

There are a handful of you who do not have a sense of smell, which hurts you also with your sense of taste, and I will tell you how to get around that as well.

I've taught a lot of people who have no sense of smell. It's more common than you would think, and there's a way to write around it.

So we will deal with all of that, and I hope you join me.
